Women's Perfume Reminds Me of Summer in France |

Every since I spent the summer in France when I was 15, I've loved fashion. The time I spent there was with a friend of my mothers who was deeply involved with the fashion industry, and that allowed me access to some of the top designers in the world. That summer, I also developed a love for women's perfume. I learned that summer that women's perfume wasn't something that we just apply to smell good. Women's perfume was something that should make a subtle statement about the person wearing it. I remember countless numbers of bottles of women's perfume on the dresser in the bedroom when I was in France, and my mother’s friend taught me how to find the fragrances that would make a subtle statement about me. I've never forgotten those times, and I carried everything I learned home with me at the end of the summer. Everyone said I was a different person. They said I carried myself differently, and that I dressed differently, wore my women’s perfume differently and maybe in some ways they were right.
While all my friends were wearing cheap women's perfume, I had a treasured bottle of the scent I'd brought back from France. Even though the bottle of women’s perfume has been empty for a long time, I still keep it as a reminder of that wonderful summer. I still make sure that I wear women's perfume that offers a subtle hint and not an overpowering mess, and recently I ordered 24 Faubourg, EDT Spray 1.6 oz, Women that I found for a great price at the The Last Boutique whose online store can be found by visiting www.thelastboutique.com, which is from one of my favorite designers Hemnes. When I spray the women's perfume, it takes me back to that summer in France, even though it was more than 25 years ago now that I was there.
This year, after 25 years, I'm planning to take a trip back to the city. My mother's friend is getting on in age, and I promised mom that I would go with her while it was still easy for her to travel. I plan to show her everything I can about the city that I fell in love with as a child, and I can't wait to see how things have changed. I’ve seen pictures over the years, but nothing is like seeing it for yourself again after all these years. I'm looking forward to it, and even plan to find a little shop that sells exclusive women’s perfume to remind me of the first bottle I got all those years ago. |
