men cologne


My father wore only one men cologne fragrance that I can remember. Every morning as he prepared for work I could hear my father showering, brushing his teeth and shaving. Then I could smell the aroma of his men cologne aftershave as he walked by my bedroom to eat breakfast. Before he left home he stopped in each of the kids bedrooms and gave us kiss. 

I have such fond memories of my father and they are always laced with the smell of his men cologne. My dad liked to mess around in the yard. He had an old well used and tattered cowboy hat that he wore to protect himself from the harsh rays of the sun. I often played dad's assistant and ran for this, that and the other thing while he worked in the front or back yard. 

After a day of yard work my dad would retire his well used cowboy hat to the hook in the shed and take a refreshing shower. When he emerged all clean and smiling he smelled of that men cologne fragrance that he always wore. My dad is gone now but whenever I smell that men cologne I think of him.
