women's perfume


My grandma had the most impressive women's perfume bottle collection. As a kid I was mesmerized by all the bottles she had stored in a three shelved glass display case. There were so many that the bottles were touching each other. When the sun shone behind that case it set off each bottle with a luminescent glow.  

Grandma made a point of cleaning out the glass case and all those women's perfume bottles every month. It became our special time together. At first I could only watch her do the task but as I got older I was allowed to remove the women's perfume bottles. This was done ever so gently and one by one. 

We would then dust the inside of the glass cabinet and each bottle. Grandma would place the women's perfume bottles back in the case right where they came from. How she remembered I cannot tell you but those bottles returned from whence they came.

That collection was her pride her joy and I am happy she shared them with me. Today, that same women's perfume bottle collection and glass cabinet sit in grandma's room at the nursing home. She spends a lot of her time just admiring them with a sweet smile on her face.
